One of the destinations included in the package is Kalimpong, a stunning hill-town in North Bengal known for its breathtaking valley views, Buddhist monasteries, churches, and Tibetan handicrafts. Another destination is Gangtok, the state capital situated in the eastern Himalayan range. It combines a modern, resort town style with ancient spiritual beliefs and an impressive natural heritage. The backdrop of mountain views sets the stage for a holiday in Gangtok, where much of the focus lies on the monasteries, shrines, and temples of this old center of Tibetan Buddhist pilgrimage.
The package also includes Darjeeling, renowned worldwide for the tea it produces and the spectacular view of the Kanchenjunga range of mountains it offers. Itinerary
Day 1: Bhopal to Bagdogra to Kalimpong
Catch Flight 6E-6221/ 6251 departing from Bhopal at 8:15 AM and arriving at Bagdogra Airport at 4:05 PM. Meet and greet at the airport, then proceed to Kalimpong which is around 85 km and 3 hours away. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 2: Kalimpong to Gangtok
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and explore Kalimpong with visits to Pine View flower Nursery, Golf Course, and Durbin Dhara Hills. In the afternoon, transfer to Gangtok - "The Capital City of Sikkim" which is around 80 km and 3 hours away. Check into the hotel and enjoy dinner (vegetarian only) and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Tsomgo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Trip
Start your day with breakfast at 7:30 AM before embarking on a half-day trip to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) and Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13,200 ft.) which is 52 km from Gangtok city. Tsomgo Lake freezes completely during winter and is a revered destination by locals. Enjoy dinner (vegetarian only) and an overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 4: Gangtok Sightseeing and Transfer to Darjeeling
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed for a city tour of Gangtok. Visit Enchey Monastery, Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok, Tashi View Point, and Flower Exhibition Show before transferring to Darjeeling - "The Queen of Hills" which is around 119 km and 3.5 hours away. Enjoy the evening at leisure and explore the world-famous Darjeeling Mall Chowrasta, a wide promenade atop a ridge lined with shops and restaurants. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Wake up early at 4:00 AM to drive to Tiger Hill and watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. world's third-highest peak). On your way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Return to the hotel for breakfast and then continue sightseeing to cover Japanese Temple, P.N. Zoological Park, HMI (Himalayan Mountaineering Institute), Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Tibetan Handicraft Centre), Tenzing Rock, and Tea Garden (outer view). Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 6: Darjeeling to Bagdogra to Bhopal
Check-out early morning from the hotel and transfer to Bagdogra airport which is around 80 km and 3 hours away. Catch Flight 6E 2149 departing at 10:00 AM for Bhopal.
